Workshop Description:
This is a one-day workshop aimed at intermediate photographers. No prior studio experience is necessary however students should have a good understanding of DSLR basics and be comfortable with the manual controls of their camera.
The workshop provides a grounding in how to light subjects in a studio environment. You will learn about studio equipment and how to measure exposure using a hand-held meter. You will gain an understanding of different lighting setups and use one flash head and reflectors to create an evenly lit subject. Students will also be introduced to three-point lighting with key light, fill light and effect light, and be shown how to light the background to separate the subject from the background.
